Camp Stories - Erin Cyrier
After going to camp since the sixth grade, you don't expect much to be different each year. Especially now that God has called me to ministry, I didn't believe there was much more that He could do. That's the main thing I learned this year: never underestimate what the God of the universe is capable of. For the first time in my life, I have felt confident in the state of my faith that I was in while I was at camp. God moved me in ways that allowed me to recognize the things that I had been experiencing recently were His way of drilling confidence into my life. By having this lack of confidence in God’s power, in turn brought a lack of confidence on myself to be moved. This applies to everyone. Whether you’ve been moved before, or never have, God is never finished with you. The strength of God’s power in my life has become not only a truth that I’ve learned in the Bible, but more of a truth to how He’s personally active in my life. Camp was only a week long, but God only needed a few hours of that time to radicalize my idea of His strength in my life. Don't underestimate God because if you do, it won't take Him long to remind you of his glory and presence in your life.
